Finding Refuge from Life’s Chaos

Work. Responsibilities. Stress. Repeat. Sometimes life feels like the directions on the back of a shampoo bottle. We become so wrapped up in its chaos that we forget to have, what I like to call, me time.

We all need time to ourselves to escape, for some that is getting lost in a good book, for others that is going out for a night on the town, or even busting out the plastic for some retail therapy. Which ever scenario suits your liberation from reality it is needed to keep us sane. Constant stresses of our busy schedules can take an emotional and physical toll on our bodies if me time is not given some type of priority.

A few weeks ago I was able to escape to one of my favorite places where I could clear my head, enjoy the beauty of nature and work up a sweat. It is close enough to feel like its right in my backyard but once on the trail it feels like I have slipped away to a far away place. Many of you have experienced the Fullerton Trail and Laguna Lake, but for those of you who haven’t yet, here’s a glimpse of what it’s like.

Laguna LakeSmokey loved romping around on the trail   My favoriteI am not sure whether this tree feel down or grew like this from the start, but it’s working with the what it has to stay alive and beautiful…Food for thought.   Escape from life’s ups and downs with the ones you love

Don’t let chaos and stress consume your life. Break free, enjoy the little things, and keep your head held high.

How do you spend me time?
